The Hong Kong PHAB Association will hold a Territory-wide Flag Day on January 11, 2025 (Saturday) across the city. We sincerely invite schools, corporate partners, organisations, and the public to participate as flag-selling volunteers, supporting charity while promoting PHAB Inclusion, as well as the message of self-care and the pursuit of physical and mental well-being together with those around us. The funds raised from this event will be used to support the operations of our rehabilitation services and to enhance administrative support for various services offered by the Association.

Our Flag Day will take place in various districts throughout Hong Kong, and we welcome parents to join with their children (children under 14 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate in flag selling). Volunteers participating in the flag day will receive a certificate of volunteer service as a record when they return the flag bags at their designated flag stations.

Guidelines:

1) Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sell flags. (This means the parent and child share one flag bag).

2) Flag-selling volunteers must place the volunteer sticker provided by the association on their outer clothing on the day of flag-selling.

3) Flag-selling is only allowed between 7:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on January 11, 2025, within the designated "flag-selling area." Selling flags must cease once the time limit is reached. Due to limited operation hours of the money collection station, volunteers must return the money bag before the designated time for stopping money bag collection.

4) All flag-selling volunteers must return the money bag along with any remaining flag papers to the assigned "flag station" before 12:30pm specified by the volunteer guide. Flag station staff will collect the money bags and materials and issue a receipt to the volunteers, confirming receipt of their flag bag.

5) The Association will prioritise assigning volunteers to sell flags in the district near the preferred flag station, but will also coordinate based on the number of volunteers and overall situation at the flag stations.

6) The Association will purchase accident insurance for all flag-selling volunteers participating in this event.

7) In case of any issues during flag-selling or if, due to special circumstances, volunteers are unable to return the money bag to the designated location on time, please contact us immediately at 25514161 and return the money bag sealed to our headquarters (Room 1402, Hong Kong Youth Association Building, 21 Pak Fuk Road, North Point, Hong Kong) by 4:00 p.m. on the same day.

8) Adverse Weather Arrangements: If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a rainstorm warning (yellow, red, or black) or a typhoon signal (number one or above) between 7:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on January 11, 2025, all volunteers are not required to sell flags.

9) Return of flag-selling materials in adverse weather conditions:- Under a yellow or red rainstorm warning, a typhoon signal number one, or a typhoon signal number three, the flag stations will operate as usual, and volunteers can return the materials to the flag station.

- Under a black rainstorm warning or a typhoon signal number eight or above, volunteers must return the materials to HKPHAB headquarter by January 13.
